Superb unusual pair of mid 19thc Staffordshire spill vase groups. Dating c.1850.
Excellent attention to detail on this beautiful and unusual pair of spill vase groups. Two sleeping infants - male and female - with their sheep are being protected from snakes by their Irish Setter dogs. The dogs are beautifully modelled with red & white colouration. The dogs have separate leg moulds and each has a paw over the sleeping infant. Snakes winding around the tree spill.
Measures some 11.25\" height x 6.25\" at base.

Condition: One group has some restoration to top of spill vase area. The other group has restoration to snake\'s head and to the Setter\'s front leg. See all images please. All as per images.
