DescriptionA stunningraredecorative Englishantique late Victoriansolid sterling silverchatelaineaide memoire/note book by the silversmith Lawrence Emanuel- (1888-1931), inexcellent clean conditionand with full English silver hallmarks for Birmingham 1900.Superb quality genuine 118 year old example, (definitely not a modern re-production), beautifully decorated with embossed and engraved flowers and scrolls and has a hinged silver lid catch on the base. Inside is complete with all 4original undamaged cow/ox bone note sheets.With no added personal engraved inscriptions or monograms, nothing erased, and still hasitslarge hinged silver attachment loop for attaching to a chatelaine chain. A real beauty, looks very little used.

MeasurementsGood size, a bit bigger than normal, measures approx. 3.3 inches (83mm) (including attachment ring) x 1.45 inches(37mm) and is 0.15 inches (4mm) deep.

Lovelymatching hallmarks on both parts of the case and it is also hallmarked on the silver attachment loop.MakerSilversmiths initials \"L.E\", (Lawrence Emanuel - 1888-1931).ConditionExcellent clean condition, with no splits or cracks to the silver, no solder repairs, definitely no wear holesand nonasty knocks or dents, astunning example by one of the top makers of chatelaine accessories, looks only little used. The 4 interior cow/ox bone note sheets are all still intact and in great undamaged condition, they have no chips or cracks and no nasty age staining either. The hinged silver lid catch works perfectly and it is complete with its original large hinged silver attachment loop. There are no added personal engraved monograms or sterling silverchatelaine aide memoire/note book.
