Description A superb rare early Englishantique late 18th Century Georgian solid sterling silverpatch/rouge boxby the silversmithJohn Turner (1773-1801)and with full English silver hallmarks forBirmingham 1799.Lovely quality genuine 216 year old example, in excellent condition,has its original tight fitting pull-off silver lid and is decorated with fine period prick/wriggle-work engraving. There areno added engraved personal inscriptions.

Measurements Measures approx 0.85 inches (20mm) in diameter and is 0.35 inches (8mm) deep.

Date English antique 18th century Georgiansolid sterling silver,with a full set of English silver hallmarks forBirmingham 1799, (date letter \"b\"). Superb clear struck marks, includes theanchor stamp of theBirmingham assay office, the lion passant sterling silver stamp and the sovereigns duty mark of KingGeorge the Third.

ConditionExcellent condition, no splits or solder repairs, definitely no wear holes and no nasty knocks or dents,just very minor little age-related surface bruises, but really nothing at all.The silver pull-off lid is the perfect tight fit and the interior is clean.
