Iso Tango XE-20S Single End Output Transformers
Pair of superb sounding Iso Tango XE-20S Single ended design output transformers, made in Japan. I bought them on December 4th 2012 directly fromhttp://www.eifl.co.jp, when they were still in production.
I used them in my SE amp with both 2A3 and 45 and they are sounding SUPERB.
Plate voltage in my amp is 310V, so the transformers were friendly used.
Both transformers are in exceptional mint condition.
However, the bottom plates that will be placed inside the amp have minor dents as seen in the pictures. This has nothing to do with theexceptional condition of the transformers:NOT ANY SCRATCH.
They will be packed in the original boxes, with the original protection bags, with the original datasheets and with the original unused TANGO stickers.A few data:
Single endedPrimary windings: 2.5K, 3K, 5KMax power output 20WYou will NEVER get the superb sound of a #45 or 2A3 if you use smaller power output transformers (even Tango or Hashimotos). The XE-20S are overkill transformers for 2A3 and 45, however they are one of the best options on Earth if not the best you can have. And they are not built anymore.
So, please don\'t loose the occasion of purchasing a truly MINT condition state of art output transformers, made in Japan. And please remember: you will always be capable of building a better amp than you can buy for the money. What do you think would be the real value of a $1K amp? Think about.
