This is just a magnificent antique jewel! The design and craftsmanship on this antique princess ring are absolutely of the highest quality. The ring features the most stunning faceted sapphires of truly the most wonderful color. The 12 sapphires emit an extraordinary amount of light.
The sapphires surround 7 very beautiful pearls. These are silvery white pearls with beautiful color. All the sapphires and pearls are individually prong set. They sit on top of a raised basket like motif. At the edges where the basket meets the shank are floral medallions. One of these has a bead in the center the other does not. A wonderful unusual design!!!.
The stunning blue of the sapphires contrasted with the gorgeous color of the pearls and the gold columns creates a magical perfect antique ring. I believe the ring dates to c1950. This piece is so very special for anyone who loves unique and wonderful antique jewelry! This is a rare find.
The ring is in excellent condition. The sapphires are all in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. The pearls are in good period condition with a few tiny flecks on them, and all appear to be original to the ring! The ring is hallmarked 14K. The top of the ring is 18 mm in diameter. The top rises 16 mm above the finger. It is currently a size 7 1/2 US (P UK, 16 France, Japan) and can be easily resized. The ring weighs 5.7 grams.
