- Welcome -Offering for sale is this rare, high end, 2nd NB C.N.G. Officer Spanish American War 14K Gold and Sterling Silver U.S. 2nd Division Connecticut National Guard Naval Militia Collar Pin. It is made of sterling silver with gold; the seal and chain are made of 14K gold the anchor is made of sterling silver. No marks. The metal fitness has been tested and guaranteed. Measures 7/8 inches tall. It is hand made by a skilled jeweler.
Their cheer was the following.

They were the crew of the battleship Maine when she blew up in Havana Harbor in Cuba; the incident that started the war. The pin is damaged and is missing the sword tips and one handle that came off the state seal. One sword handle remains and gives one an idea of what the insignia would of looked like if the crossed swords were intact. Maybe they got broke off in the explosion or aftermath? Probably the only one for sale anywhere. It is a very rare piece of American Naval history. Please do not miss out and offer now because most likely we will not be able to find another one.
