This is a scrapbook of newspaper clippings from the Charleston (WV) Gazette from December 1936. The scrapbook is 17 1/2 x 11 1/4 inches and contains 22 spiral-bound pages. The cover is heavy embossed black paper. The first page is shown in the second photo. The back of the last page and inside back cover have large color prints of Edward and Mrs. Wallace. All other pages are black print and only have clippings on the front. The first page has torn loose from the spiral and one clipping has torn and come unglued. The paper is yellowed and somewhat fragile, with several missing corners. The articles are from December 5-16, and include several on the crowning of George VI and about his family.
The scrapbook was created by the mother of my next-door neighbor, and I inherited it from my father to whom the neighbor gave it. Therefore I don\'t know a lot about its background.
