Set 6 heavy American Coin Silver Forks by NYC maker Gilbert &Cunningham c.1841:
$195.00

This is a great heavy set of American coin silver by the Gilbert Cunningham Company who were located at 102 Reade street in New York City from 1841-1842. This maker used the pseudo hallmarks that these forks bear and that have been identified in John McGrew\'s book,. Manufacturers\' Marks on American Coin Silver (page 11). they also have the mark of an unidentified retailer, R.J. and Co. The forks have a almost unreadable monogram on their handles that might be THD. The forks are in good condition with a little wear to the outside tines on each fork and a few minor knife marks (see photos). This does not distract from the beauty of these great forks. They are 7 5/8\" long and weigh a cumulative 10.85 troy ounces.
