Approximate Dimensions: flat plate 10cm x 7.75cm; length of bolts 4cm total length from where handle slots in (about 3cm extending at back of plate)
Distance Between Bolts: about 7.5cm centre to centre
Materials and Design: I think they are brass but all very tarnished - 2 are lighter after attempt at cleaning many years ago. Pierced decorative design on plate. Ball ends with side slots to take a handle form the end of the bolts at the front. The bolts slot through holes each side of the plate and a nut screws them tight from behind.
Origins: They came from a large chest of drawers. I\'m not sure what the wood was but it looked like a golden reddish-brown mahogany with straight simple line design with 2 smaller drawers at top and two larger drawers beneath, one deeper than the other. It was given to me about 30 years ago having belonged to an elderly lady.
Condition:All very dark, although I once tried to clean two of them so they are brighter but still patchy. All have original fittings except for a single nut replacement which fits the original bolt. They cam from an antique chest of drawers (see detail for origins)
