Listing an antique Seth Thomas 8 day time and strike mantel clock movement. This model stamped 89C was used in adamantine mantel clocks in the early c. 1900s. The movement has been cleaned, oiled, bushings installed where needed and tested. Both mainsprings have been replaced with correct fitting new replacements. All components of the movement have been inspected and all repairs have been made. Movement will show some wear from years of use. This model strikes the hour on the hour and strikes a bell once on the half.
Movement was tested on a level test stand with a 5 oz. (approx) non adjustable pendulum. Pendulum drop from center shaft to bottom of pendulum is 4 1/2 inches. Movement can also be used with an adjustable pendulum. This model has the longer 1 inch mounting feet and a 1 inch long hand shaft. This model can be used to replace many 89 series movements found in Seth Thomas clocks from the early c. 1900s. Look the photos over closely to see if the movement will work for you. May require minor adjustment to adapt to your case. Movement sold as shown. Trades considered for partial payment.
