AinYahav is the first and largest Settlement in the AravaIn 1950, an agricultural experimentation station was set up at Ein Yahav by members of Shahal, a movement to settle arid areas of Israel.

Fritz Schlesinger, Photographer,born in Germany, 1915-1967

Fritz Schlesinger received his training as a photographer

in Germany,as an assistant of optician and photographer.

In 1937 he immigrated to the Land of Israel after

the agricultural training in Italy, and settled in Jerusalem

In 1948 he started to work as an independed photograph journalist

and documentation for the Zionnist Funds. Collection of negatives

are in the Zionist Archives and in the JNF archive.

Dated:1950

Condition: Slight browned/stained by time,

otherwise very fine.
