Significant Christy (Christopher) Mathewson full name signed \"Special Orders\" Extract document, dated \"February 1st 1919\". This document served as an official set of Christy Mathewson\'s military travel orders that he received during WWI while stationed in a quarantine facility in France due to his exposure to mustard gas. This is the official document that was sent to Mathewson informing him that his \"services are no longer required in the A.E.F.\" (American Expeditionary Forces) and that he is now ready to return to the United States. The document is flawlessly signed in period fountain pen ink \"Christopher Mathewson, Capt. C.W.S.\" The extremely scarce full name signature format is one of very few examples known to exist. The document is in excellent overall condition and exhibits typical fold lines and light wrinkling. The historical significance of this document cannot be overstated, essentially serving as Matty\'s ticket home from the war. A true piece of history and one of the finest Mathewson signed artifacts to ever be offered for sale. Accompanied with a full letter of authenticity from James Spence Authentication.
