Here for your consideration is a truly fabulousand rare,fully hallmarkedsilver & gilt,1924, rectangular novelty card case,with a depiction of a pig, set in relief. The inscription under the pig reads \'4th June 1934\'.

Atruly stunning piece of workmanship, fully hallmarked with silver gilt interior, made by\'Robert Pringle & Sons\', assayedin Birmingham with the anchor, lion passant and the date letter Z for 1924.Considering thiscard caseis 91 yearsold it\'s in fantastic original condition, with no splits, repairs or damage. The case does have some age related patina wear, commensuratewith its 91 years of age, but nothing unusual.

Robert Pringle & Sons ....

The business was first established in 1835 by Robert Pringle and continued by his son. In 1882 it became Robert Pringle & Co. In 1890 the company had premises known as Wilderness Works, working in all branches of the trade, gold, silver, gems, jewellery making, gilding, plating, finishing, assaying, electroplate and silver plate. In 1899 the firm changed to Robert Pringle & Sons and they became a Limited Liability Company in 1931.
