This is the much harder to find version of the common 221 Featherweight.Unlike the common 221 this one has a free-arm for things pants and sleeves and a darn vs. sew setting.It can also do embroidery. The Embroidery hoop was sold separately as an option.
Includes FREE MATCHING PORTABLE IRON.
Original serial number EJ6179752 indicates a production date of March 31 1954 according to original Singer factory records.
Machine works extremely smoothly and is very clean. In great condition both inside and out. The chrome and paint are shiny.Refer to photosfor more detailedcosmetic condition.
The machine sews great on 1st try without me even doing a thing to it except oiling and greasing.
The only other thing I did was replaceall the rubber cushionfeet on the machine and the pedal with nice new ones.
These machines were only made in Great Britain so they are all wired for 220V. However, I am including a free inline 110V adapter. So now this machine can be used both US or Canada at 110V or anywhere else with 220V.If you prefer it wired for 110V permanently, I can do it for an extra $99 (the cost of a 110V motor). Though I don\'t see the point.
I am also including a WHOLE BUNCH of original accessories and equipment.
