FEATHERWEIGHT MODEL 221-1 SINGER SEWING MACHINE: IN EXCELLENT, NEAR-MINT & FULLY FUNCTIONAL CONDITION. No damage, neither mechanically nor cosmetically. NO DEEP SCRATCHES TO THE BLACK PAINT & NO WEAR TO THE DECALS. Some minor wear. Works well & runs when plugged in. The wheel turns freely & all of the parts near the needle assembly move with ease. The carrying case is in excellent condition (but key is missing). Contents are clean & in excellent condition. Bakelite foot treadle is not crack & not chipped, but is a little scuffed from use. Has not been serviced or used recently. Slightly dusty; I have wiped the it off, but not detailed it. Appears almost ready to use. Missing the felt disc where the spool of thread sits & one (1) rubber foot has been replaced with a felt disc. Manufacturing date of 1948 was obtained using the serial number found underneath the machine from the International Sewing Machine Collectors\' Society website: \"Singer Sewing Machine Serial Number Database\". However, the last date on the owner\'s manual is 1950. Perhaps the machine was MADE in 1948, but was not SOLD until 1950.

Includes the manual & Singer oil can. Bakelite foot treadle is not crack & not chipped, but is a little scuffed from use. Machine was stored in its case for many years, BUT has not been serviced or used recently. Slightly dusty; I have wiped the it off, but not detailed it. The bobbin is loaded & has loose threads hanging from some parts, so it will need to be properly set up; but it appears almost ready to use. Missing the felt disc where the spool of thread sits & one (1) rubber foot has been replaced with a felt disc.Year Made/Approximate Age: According the data found on-line, this machine was made in 1948.
Dimensions/Volume/Weight: Machine itself is about 9 inches tall by about 9½ inches long. Base is about 15 inches long when the \"fold-up\" part is folded down.
