Displayed on a grid of one inch squares to illustrate size is a Rare early version Darning Embroidery hoop, a nice accessory to go with you Singer Featherweight 221 or 222K.
This type is hard to come by, I couldn\'t even find another example on the internet for comparison. It is not marked Simanco or Singer but most certainly their product as I bought this many years ago in the box. If memory serves me correctly, my daughter destroyed the box some time back in her toddler years. The last photo shows the only marking
\"PATENT APPLIED FOR\"
So I don\'t believe this is an item that Singer / Simanco kept in production for very long.
