ITEM:Vintage David Andersen Sterling Silver Viking Saga SINGLE Cufflink ~ Overall Design Based on Actual Viking Ship found in Oseberg, Norway

SIZE: Cufflink measures: Just over 3/4\" in width ; 1/2\" in height ~ Total weight for this piece is approximately: 5.7 grams.

ITEM DETAILS: This sale features a single (1) David Andersen Sterling Silver cufflink. Please be aware that this sale is for a SINGLE (only ONE) cufflink as that is how I found it. I often find some really neat items in the estate jewelry lots that I buy -- and this was definitely one of them (obviously, I would have loved to have found the set, but I was still happy to find just the one!). At any rate, in researching this piece, I found that the design is actually based on an actual Viking ship that was excavated in Oseberg, Norway; in fact, the wording on the back, \"OSEBERGFUNNET\" actually means, \"Oseberg find.\" As you might expect, the front of the cufflink bears a very Nordic, interlocking line pattern of circles, with the edges bearing a half-bead design. The link portion on the back is somewhat curved with the small oval made to move back and forth. It is marked on the back with the following: \"OSEBERGFUNNET / KOPI CA. / 850 E. KR.\" It is also marked on either side of the curve with, \"D-A STERLING\" on one side and \"NORWAY 925S\" on the other. Again, please be aware that this sale is for the SINGLE cufflink only. As noted above, that is unfortunately all I found... and I am hoping someone else out there has its long lost mate, too!

CONDITION: Fair PlusUsed Condition ~I am considering the use of these items when factoring the condition rating.Although I do not usually rate my items much higher than a \"Fair,\" I do feel that this piece is an exception to that rule. Although it does have some surface scratches seen (all commensurate with age and use), I certainly do not feel these are bad enough to keep it from being used. There is also a mild patina seen (or tarnishing -- I do realize that one person\'s patina is another person\'s tarnishing!), as well. The small oval piece does move back and forth freely, though, with no major issues that I can see. Again, as I have noted many times throughout this listing: this sale is for ONE, SINGLE CUFFLINK. Please be aware of this fact before offerding. I really do apologize for repeating myself so much; however, I am sometimes surprised to learn how little some people read in these sales -- and therefore want to make it abundantly clear so there are no misunderstandings in the end. Thank you! With age and use considered, I would still say this pieces rate in Fair PlusUsedcondition overall.

AGE/ DATE MADE:Although exact age is unknown, I do believe this cufflink is vintage

Special note on fine metals: Silver & Gold prices can fluctuatewildly from day to day, week to week, and even minute to minute. With thatsaid, I have become very wary of is people purchasing fine metals from me andthen turning around and claiming that, a) either the gold or silver price haschanged or, b) my scale is off by 0.1 of a gram, and I should thereforerefund that tenth of a gram (in money) back into the respective Paypalaccount. I have purchased a brand new digital scale and will no longer refundfor tenth of a gram difference OR for gold / silver prices changes on thestock market. If I have made a large error in weight I will -- of COURSE --continue to honor my very lenient full return policy, but will no longerrefund for either market price changes OR tenth of a gram weight variationsfrom scale to scale. If you would like a full return, simply return theexact item(s) back, and I will refund your entire purchase price. I will nolonger refund partial payments, though.
