Vintage children\'s book measuring about 8.5 by 6.75 inches. This is not the book club edition. 1963 Harcourt, Brace and World first edition hardcover with clipped dust jacket. Faint price erasure on jacket flap. Signed and inscribed but not personalized by author on first free end paper, otherwise appears unmarked. Moderate shelfwear to dust jacket including scrapes, short tears to one half inch, chips and mild soiling and some tanning. Teal, cloth-covered boards with light bumping to board corners. Interior appears as a a book which has seen only gentle handling. Firm binding. There is also a personal note from the author tucked in the book. A nice copy. Please see listing images.
