1950s Jonathan Phillips Knit Dress, one of several pieces by this handsome designer I recently acquired. This long slimming and soignée black knit breathes, moves with you and hugs every curve. A clever yet simple design, this knit is cut with a deep vee neck, lightly tapered at the waist and mid calf in length. The ribbon accent trims the neckline and 5 pieces cross the deep vee opening for a sensual and nautical feel. Ditto the hip trim creating the false illusion of a dropped waist. A back metal zipper seals the deals.
