Thislovely, solid silver napkin ring is of hexagonal form, having engine-turneddecoration surrounding a rectangular cartouche, which is monogrammed ‘JR’ inscript.

Apartfrom the usual fine surface marks commensurate with age and use, it is in verygood condition for 64 years old.

Itmeasures approx. 3.1 cm high, 4.6 cm at the widest points and weighs 36.2grams.

Itis fully hallmarked with the crown for the Sheffield assay office; the lionpassant for English 925, sterling silver; the date letter for 1953 and themaker’s mark for the renowned Emile Viner (Viner’s Ltd).
