A rare find by iconic French designer, Jacques Fath -- one of the 3 most influential post-WWII designers (the others being Balmain and Dior) whose apprentices included Givenchy, Guy Laroche and Valentino. Fath designed clothes for stars like Ava Gardner, Greta Garbo and Rita Hayworth ... and was a French original with enormous imagination and elegance. He once did a collection of skirts in the shapes of flowers. My guess is this silk scarf -- with its brilliant modern take on flowers -- comes from this 1950\'s \"flower\" period. The joyful colors and playful design demonstrate spirit + elegance in rare form. With hand-rolled edges and in superb condition. Dimensions = 30\" x 30\".
