Splendid Vintage French 6 Light Bronze Chandelier:

Asubstantial bronze chandelier with stunning decorative details.

The deep and heavy cupped ceiling rosehas a scalloped rim and tall elegant plumes extending upward from the centre,the chain below has largeembossed links alternating with plain ovals andattaches to a shapely hook at the top of the central column.

The central column tapers in from a wide rounded top and is lavishly decorated by intricate plumes of feathers sweeping around it on an elegant fluted background. It sits on a delightful pedestal set above the dome shaped centre top of the chandelier.

Thesixarmsextend fromtheflutedbandaround the centre of the light. Each onehas morerich swathes of plumage scrolling along the length and lovely curlicues at the inner end. The deep candle cups are an amazing sweep of finely detailed plumes, giving a scalloped rim, and all are complete with faux candle sleeves.

The base of the chandelieris again beautifully embossed and a large decorative finial in the centre completes the chandelier.

It is in wonderful vintage condition andthe fine quality bronzehas developed asuperbtimeworn patina over the years.

The remarkable attention to detail and lavish workmanship in this chandelier would make it a stunning centrepiece in any home.

The chandelier is fully functional and takes6 small screw in candle bulbs (not included), however as with all vintage lighting it should be checked by a qualified electrician before use.
