The Star Trek Commemorative Chess Setwas produced by The Franklin Mint for Star Trek\'s 25th anniversary in 1989.This was a standard chess set with TOS-themed pieces:

Gold pieces

Silver pieces

The pieces were produced in pewter, plated ineither 24-karat gold or sterling silver, and placed on crystal hexagonal bases.The board doubled as the storage case for the pieces.

The Star Trek Commemorative CheckerSet was produced by The Franklin Mint for Star Trek\'s 25thanniversary.

This was a standard set of checkers produced inpewter and plated in either 24-karat gold or sterling silver. The gold checkersdepicted the USS Enterprise on one side and the Enterprise CommandInsignia on the other. The silver checkers depicted the Klingon D7 class battlecruiser on one side and the Klingon \"Trefoil\" insignia on the other.

The set was sold in a special collector\'s case,and either came separately to play on the board of the Star TrekCommemorative Chess Set or with its own round glass checker board, modeled insimilar style to the aforementioned chess set\'s board.
