Thomas Edison was not your average thinker, your everyday tinkerer.Quite frankly, he stood out, commanded attention, eschewed the unexceptional and embraced the unique.

The same can be said of our Nostalgic Edison Lamp & Bulb. It\'s one-of-a-kind, not one of hundreds off a manufacturing line. Inspired by the fact that Edison grew up less than 25 miles from us in northeast Ohio, we\'ve designed a distinctive lamp artfully created by hand in our 1850s sandstone workshop.

From top to bottom, the lamp exudes extraordinary craftsmanship. The beautiful, solid walnut base is hand-stamped with Edison est. 1847, adding a distinctive antique flair to the piece not seen in other lamps. And because we use tools replicated from the 1800s, the letters are appropriately and appealingly imperfect; we are, after all, creating authenticity, not mass-produced mediocrity!

The antique-style twisted cloth-covered black cord further enhances the vintage look of the lamp, as do three solid brass knobs finished in rich ebony. Completing the classic appearance: three solid brass feet on the bottom that lend stability to the piece as well as charm.

Ideal for illuminating a home office, bedroom, sitting area, or reading alcove, the Nostalgic Edison Lamp -- much like the legacy of Edison himself -- outshines all others.

Each lamp is individually manufactured and hand-finished to reflect an artistic vintage-style finish; intended imperfections and variations in the metal are to be expected.
