You are looking at a genuine, Sterling Silver, Renaissance Plate by Gianmaria Buccellati.It measures approximately 14\" in diameter & pictures the 12 signs of the zodiac. It features the phrase \"Vassene Il Tempo E L\'Vom Non Se Ne Avvede\" ( Time passes on and we perceive it not. ) It weighs a little over 26 oz. and is in excellent condition. We do not have the original box. This was made in a limited edition of 1000. This plate is number 106. (please see photo of Hallmarks)
The most recent one of these plates to sell at sale (that we could find) was offered by Sotheby\'s, Hong Kong in 2013. It sold for $ 10,467. US dollars. That one came with it\'s original box. Because we do not have the box & silver has come down at least 25% since then, we are offering it at a lower price. A collectors dream!
