On offer is a rare sterling silvercaptain’s inkwell assayed in 1925. The inkwell was assayed in Birmingham andbears these hallmarks:

Z = makers mark

Anchor = Birmingham

Lion passant = sterling silver

Letter A = 1925

The lid opens on a hinge to reveal theinkwell chamber. This is a distinctive item that will look stunning on displayin the study or library.

Condition

The inkwell is in good antique conditioncommensurate with age and use. The hinge works as it should and the lid closessecurely.
