Overview: Up for sale is a fantastic oil painting on stretched canvas. It shows a lone fisherman out in a mountain lake, with birds wheeling above his head. To the left, there is a well-worn dirt road, while the mountains fade into the distance. The painting is signed \"A. Cox\" and dated June 19.15. at lower right. It\'s a really tremendous piece and shows a practiced hand. My guess is that this was painted by a talented amateur. It\'s a beautiful 101-year old gem and will make a fantastic addition to any art collection.

Condition: The piece is in very good condition, considering its age. It does have some minor cracquelure running vertically up the left side of the painting, where the left stretcher bar sits, as well as some very minor cracquelure running horizontally through the middle of the painting. The stretcher bars have mildly creased/distressed the painting throughout the edges, which is not at all uncommon for such an old piece. Painting is unframed. Measurements: Stretched canvas measures approximately 10 inches wide x 8 inches high.
