A wonderful Victorian 9ct Gold Amethyst& Seed Pearl set Cruciform Pendant of the very finest quality, which dates to c1895(please study the detailed close-up photographs provided, which form an integral part of this item\'s description).
This stunning Victorian Quatrefoil Amethyst & Pearl set Pendanthas been beautifully crafted in 9ct Gold to create a stylized Cross that is simply sublime. The focal-point is the oval Amethyst (approx\' 10.0mm by 7.5mm), whichis millegrain set in the centre of an openwork cruciform surround all set with Seed Pearls. This fabulous antique Pendant is eminently wearable and yet at the same time sumptuouslybeautiful and only requires the addition of a chain.
The overall condition of this fine quality Pendant, which weighs 3.2 grams, is quite superb with only very light wear to the surface when viewed through a loupe, which is wholly commensurate with age. Typical of the period this Pendant/Brooch is unmarked but it is guaranteed to be made from solid 9ct Gold and it measures approx\'3.9cms long (including bail) by 2.6cms wide.
