A stunning Victorian9ct Gold Garnet set Marquise Shaped Broochdating to c1895(please seethe detailed close-up photographs provided, which form an integral part of theitem\'s description).
This wonderful Antique Brooch, which is approx\' 3.5cms long & weighs 6.1 grams, has been beautifully crafted in 9ct Gold. It is set centrally with five a row of five graduated round faceted Garnets in an elliptical setting within a border of smaller Garnets, which complement the central stones perfectly. Typical of the period the Broochis unmarked \'9ct\' but it has been tested and is guaranteed to be made from solid 9ct Gold.
This fine quality Brooch is in great condition; with wear appropriate to age, as shown; commensurate with age when viewed with a loupe some of the gemstones have chips & scratches, but nothing that detracts from what is a stunning Victorian Garnet Brooch, whichcomes complete & ready to wear with a good hinge, pin, \'C\' clasp & safety chain that all work as they should.
The Brooch is presented in an Antique Fitted Case for John M. Moody, Jeweller of 5 Victoria St, Crewe, as shown, which has a good hinge and a push button clasp that works perfectly. The exterior of the case shows scuffs and age related wear, while the interior lined with purple velvet and cream satin silk is in good condition with no tears or repairs.
