For Your Consideration the silver collectors here at twangermanagement are proud to present a pair of stunning sterling silver muffineers or sugar shakers manufactured by the Crichton Brothers Company in London England in the year 1912. This pair of sugar shakers is simply astonishing. The heavy repousse design on the body of each muffineer displays three garlands of flowers and three lions heads. These muffineers are the height of opulence and they both have a monogram that looks like \"DCM.\" It would be interesting to learn who this person was, but one thing is for sure, this person chose an extremely nice pair of sugar shakers. One muffineer weighs in at 200 grams and the other muffineer weighs 198 grams on our scale that rounds to the gram. Never have we encountered such an extravagant sugar shaker, and to have the original pair is extremely rare indeed. Each muffineer shows evidence of light use, and there are a few scuffs here and there. The bottoms of each muffineer have been inscribed with \"Crichton Bros. New York and London,\" and some antique dealer along the way has scratched a tiny number on the bottom of each muffineer. I have always wondered about this practice of scratching numbers directly into antique silver, as I have seen it on many pieces over the years.
