Description:Very scarce Louis Wain first edition. Original pictorial hardback with red cloth to spine. Coloured frontispiece - \"Mother Goose At Home\" and one other coloured plate. Illustrated throughout by Louis Wain with two toned illustrations. Covers are worn, chipped and rubbed(see pictures). Erased pencil marks to front free end paper, small pencil numbers to the top right hand corner of each page. Light marks to a few pages. Free of inscriptions. A nice copy.
Covers are worn, chipped and rubbed. Large chip to front cover (see pictures). Tape repair to spine, rear cover has had the corner clipped off (see pictures). Text pages are lightly browned, although colour plates remain bright (see pictures). The first and last pages have small closed tears to edges, not affecting text.
This 1915 annual is a fine example of Louis Wain\'s mature style, and also contains drawings of First World War interest.
