This is a very large, super rare, beautifully detailed, hand hammered & chased ornate Middle Eastern~ Cairoware~Mamluke copper tray ~ platter . Hand engraved with a profusion of wonderful middle Eastern motifs, with a large central field filled with profuse Arabic calligraphic patterns and ornate rosettes of Arabic calligraphy and intricate Islamic geometric patterns. A magnificent piece to hang on the wall. A masterly crafted piece with deep relief and chase work and a beautiful patina with applied hanging ring with copper rivets. Exceptionally well designed and highly ornamented in very good antique condition. A very rare, in copper, and fine piece.
