My name is Roma and I am selling some interesting and curious objects of the past I had a chance to collect. It is time to downsize my multiple collections and gain funds for further projects.
From the collection of early mechanics and steam.Up for sale is a wonderful example of early steam toy, a rare boiler made by Whitney, City Road, London. If you familiar with this company you know that is started in 1875. Whitney was mostly famous for models of steam engines and motors. To find an actual boiler with a name plate made by that company is something unbelievable, at least a boiler with such design. Notice that it was a hand made piece. You can see the marking line for the rivets left by a maker. I love the look of this boiler. It is still uncleaned and shows original patina. It is missing some parts, but if you really like to have it complete you can easily machine them. I prefer to live objects in my collection untouched and unrestored.
The total length with smoke stack is 9 1/4 in. and the height of the boiler without it is 5 in. The diameter is about 4 in. I am listing this boiler for the price I paid for it.
