A really fine late 17th century Dutch brass \"frying pan\" type chamberstick. It\'s constructed of heavy hand beaten and turned sheet, with deep round pan, nozzle with single round extraction hole and decorated with a single scribed line at its base, and long angled handle, pierced at the end for hanging. Both the nozzle and handle are attached to the pan with the original large copper rivets. Visible on the underside of the base are consistent tiny hammer marks. It measures 12 1/2\" long with 5 1/2\" diameter pan and is in flawless original condition with no damages or repairs. This is the type of chamberstick typically seen in late 17th century Dutch still life and genre paintings. One of the nicest examples I\'ve had.
