Superb 19thC Asian Gilt Bronze Cloisonne Covered Jar w/ Flowers & Butterflies!
This outstanding gilt bronze covered jar is decorated with colorful cloisonné flowers and butterflies around the body on a blue background. It has colored patterns around the bottom, shoulder, cover and finial. It has nice detail and the wirework is all gilt as well. It dates from the 19th Century and measures approximately 9 + ¼ inches tall to the top of the finial by 6 inches across the shoulder. It is in excellent condition with the exception of the typical white peppering throughout the designs, as can be seen in the photos. Also the finial needs to be re-attached (it is missing its little screw).
