Up for sale is this beautiful gents,solid sterling silver antique 1896 Victorian chain driven fusee mid size pocketwatch. It featureselegant black enameled Roman numeral numerals, minutemarkers and five minute numbers, Spade-style hands. The original white, porcelainenamel dial is in very good to excellent condition for its age, with no cracks,chips or hair lines. The glass is also in good condition! Moving on to stunningfully chased very ornate case which is crafted from Solid 0.925 Sterling Silver and is clearlymarked on the inside of the case with a English hallmark, it is also marked onthe inside of the dust cover. The date letter is N, for 1896, place Chester, sterling silver mark,case makers initials and serial number. Its condition is good to excellent forits age even though it is 121 years old, just having the expected signs of wear! The watches approx size is 59mm fromtop bow/bottom case, 15.2mm thick and the diameter is 41mm and the weight is65.7grams over 2 troy ounces. Peekinginside I find a signed R Wright & Co Coventry jewel end chain driven jewel fusee movement which is ticking(complete with its key) and it has been monitored for 12 hours workingperfectly but running fast gaining time.
