This carriage clock is a very nice fine french lacquered brass 8 day strike repeating carriage clock, it has a superb design look to it with it all being in excellent condition for age with a absolutely stunning original lacquered finish to the brass caseCase is constructed from a good quality brass with 5 bevelled glass panels going all the way around the clock and one to top through which the original silvered platform escapement can be seen working. All bevelled glass panels are excellent and undamaged and all originalIt has a silver and brass mask dial with arabic numerals, the dial is in excellent original condition with original hands and looks absolutely beautiful with a beautiful gilt filigree centre motifThe clock has an 8 day french strike repeating movement with an original silvered platform escapement, the movement is in full working order keeping excellent spot on time with the regulator lever sitting perfectly in the centre exactly how it should and striking as it should every half hour counting the hours on the hour with the repeat button also working perfectly as can be seen in the video above with a superb action to the platform escapementThe clock measures 6.25 inches high x 3.25 inches wide x 3 inches deepApprox Date: 1880
