Up for your consideration is this Superb Antique German Art Nouveau Jugendstil Claret Jug Wine Ewer, it is in good overall condition but does have age and use related wear like scratching, it is not pristine. It measures 14.5 inches high by six inches wide and deep. It is marked with Anezin Hnos & Cia mark, the Anezin Brothers were the exclusive importers of WMF products in Argentina. I had been searching high and low for the WMF Ostrich mark and all but gave up when I noticed the Anezin Hnos & Cia mark at the end of one foot and then researched the mark. The ewer is made of Brittania metal and is identical in every way to the Claret Jugs that bear the WMF mark because it is WMF. Guaranteed. It is a work of art, this is a piece of design genius and a very iconic piece from the art nouveau / jugendstil period. Make it yours...
