DescriptionA MUSEUM QUALITY RARE ART NOUVEAU FESTOON NECKLACE WITH CENTRAL DIAMOND, SEED PEARLS AND STUNNING GREEN FLORAL LEAF ENAMEL IN 14K ROSE GOLD DATING TO C1900.This is a magnificent estate jewel!!! Absolutely the finest quality. This museum quality Art Nouveau piece is rare and wonderful. Made of 14k rose gold it features a classic art nouveau design inspired by the forms of nature. It has a central triumvirate portion with leaf and flower form designs. This is centered by a gorgeous diamond. Above this is a smaller triumvirate leaf and flower form. The elegant swags of the festoon necklace are adorned with seed pearls of just the most gorgeous color and lustre. The leaves in the design are all enameled with an extraordinary yellow-green enameling. This piece just has all the elements of the great art nouveau pieces. It is made by the firm Krementz and dates to c1900. The central diamond is an Old Mine Cut of approximately 1/5 Ct. It is approximately G-H color and VS1-VS2 in clarity. There is one tiny flea bite out of the side of the stone which is only visible with a 10X loop. The enamel is in superb condition with no real damage that I can see. There may be some tiny flecks missing but I cannot see any. The seed pearls are all in wonderful condition. The central portion hangs down 55 mm (2 1/4 inches). The length from the outermost seed pearls is 11 cm (4 1/4 inches). The necklace itself is 16 1/2 inches (42 cm) long. The necklace is hallmarked 14K with the Krementz mark on the back of the large lavalier portion and on the clasp. The necklace weighs 8.1 grams.The necklace comes from a prominent Beverly Hills estate. This is a stunning estate jewel with great drama and style. Finding original art nouveau pieces of this quality is extremely difficult today! The combination of the extraordinary gold work and beautiful enamel and pearls and diamond is mesmerizing. Together they create a jewel worthy of the finest collection. The piece is so immensely wearable either during the day or at the most glamorous affair.
