FREE UK INSURED POSTAGEREDUCED INTERNATIONAL INSURED POSTAGEThis is a delightful English hallmarked lemon strainer.It is made of Britannia silver which is a higher grade silver than sterling silver.It has a full set of hallmarks for the London assay office.It is a large lemon strainer and across the handles it measures approx. 6.3 inches, with the diameter of the bowl being 3.5 inches.It weighs approx. 80 grams.It has beautifully shaped side handles and a lovely pierced central design.This strainer is a copy of a lemon strainer made in 1775 by Hester Bateman (as sold by Wax Antiques at £875).The hallmarks on this strainer show HF for maker H.
