ITEM DESCRIPTION

Item Description

Up for your consideration is a fine French Empire gilt bronze clock of the finest quality, movement made by Japy Freres, c. 1849 - 1852. It measures 16\" tall, 11.5\" wide, and about 5\" deep. It come with what appears to be the original pendulum, and a newer key.

CONDITIONOverall great condition. The case with relatively even patina. Clock currently runs well when wound and chimes on the hour and half hour. Comes with a key to wind the clock. The dial with some cracks and a few minor chips to edges. Please note: I can make no guarantees that the clock will be working or keeps good time. This is well beyond my capability or knowledge base.
