Superb mid 19thcoak carved panel withmedievalsoldier head to centre and with gargoyles carved above andbelow head. Dating c.1850.

Excellent and superbly carved oak panel. Medieval soldier carved in deep relief within a circular wreath.Soldier wearing helmet with visor up. Above andbelow head are carved wonderful gargoyle/grotesque heads. Scrolling and leaf detail further decorate. The carving is of a fine quality and with really fine detail. Fine patina to the wood.

Measures some13.75" x 7.5" max width.

Condition is excellent and age commensurate. All as per images.
