Superb antique Chinese Zodiac sterling silver plaque. Circa early 1900s.

The plaque is made of solid pure silver and it is not silver plated.

One side of the plaque features the zodiac sign of the ram. The other side is a trigram of the 12 zodiac signs.

There are very beautiful Chinese motifs of lotus flowers, scrolls and vines surrounding the centre design.

A Chinese solid silver stamp amongst the design.

The plaque is made of solid silver. It could have been a plaque used as paper weight. Later on a hole is added so that it can be hung or worn.

Beautifully handmade.
