Superb Sterling Silver 1965 Hammered Relief Surround Bowl William Comyns & Sons:

Here for your consideration is a beautiful, 1965, William Comyns & Sons Ltd, fully hallmarked sterling silver, with hammered finish, and swirl relief surround bowl. The stylish ornate workmanship of the sixteen scallops, ontheintricate border, is absolutely exquisite.

It\'s a truly stunning piece of William Comyns & Sons workmanship, fully hallmarked R.C in a dot/shield cartouche for .... \'Richard Comyns\', leopards head assay mark of London, with lion passant, and date letter K for 1965.

Condition:Adelightful bowl in fantastic original condition, with no splits, dents, repairs or damage. It does have some beautiful age related silver patination, commensurate with age, but nothing unusual.Please also note, my photos of this silver bowl are picking up white light and room reflections (not tarnishing or damage).

William Comyns & Sons Ltd ... sons (Richard Comyns & Charles Comyns).

First registered in January 1859. Silversmiths who had premises at Beak Street, London, W1 andsubsequentlyfrom 1957 Tower Street, London, W2. They specialised in ash trays, baskets, bowls, boxes, button hooks, candelabra, claret jugs, clocks, coasters, coffee pots, creamers, cups and saucers, decanter labels, dishes, dressing sets, frames, matchbox holders, mugs, napkin rings, salts, salvers, skewers, spoons, table lighters, tea caddies, tea services, toast racks, trays, vases and vesta\'s.

This is as good as it gets with regards to decorative solid silver bowls,it\'s all original and undamaged. How manyof these have you seen, still intact.This is an extremely rarefind indeed.
