This is a superb quality antique Victorian circa 1890 9 carat gold Scottish champagne citrine.
The facetted stone is an exquisite champagne citrine from the Cairngorm mountain range that has been fully tested by a local jeweller and is a genuine citrine.
The brooch has no hallmarks which is fairly normal for pieces from this period but has been fully tested by a local jeweller and is 9 carat gold.
The brooch width is 3.8 cm ( One and a half inches ) and the pin and clasp are original and in good working condition as is the original safety chain and pin.The total weight is 6.2 grams.
