This is a superb big antique sterling silver Victorian circa 1890 locket necklace with stunning chasing on the front and quality sterling silver chain that may not be original to the piece although is quite old.The locket has no hallmarks which is not unusual for pieces for this period but has been fully tested by a local jeweller and is sterling silver.The locket length is large at 5.0 cm ( Two inches ) including the bale and heavy large rope sterling silver chain is 57 cm ( Twenty two and a half inches ) and the chain has a 925 stamp for sterling silver. The total weight of the necklace is 44.6 grams.
