Also based on an animated series that’s drawn in a highly stylized manner, Superman Adventures is set in Superman’s early days in Metropolis, but not so early that people don’t know he’s an alien or that Kryptonite is known to kill him. He’s also built up a rogues’ gallery, already including Toyman, The Parasite and Metallo. After Paul Dini’s first issue, Scott McCloud takes over the scripts and proves to have a lighthearted touch while still providing a good old-fashioned fight against Metallo.
