ITEM DESCRIPTION:

Great shape, this unique sweetgrass basket is almost 5" across, 1 3/4" tall, and still has it's original tag dated 8/7/1999, "Vera M or Ethel J Manigault". Ethel was Vera's mother, and died in 2007. Vera has been highlighted on CNN, Discovery Channel and the Weather Channel, various publications, and has been making baskets for 54 years (as of 2011 article), 8th generation, and left handed weaver. RARE! I'm not really sure what this is worth, let me know if I am off!
