For sale isa WONDERFUL 19c French kingwood veneered inland antique restored and repolished jewellery box. Dates approximately 1860/1890.

In WONDERFUL restored condition.

FULLY LOCKS and double locks.

No missing or replaced veneer.

Veneered in Kingwoodto the sides back front and top, withoriginal solid brass outer edging to the top.Original solid brasskeyhole escutcheon.

Wonderful figured veneer. Rare box in great condition for its age.

The box would have originally been a glove box with a drop down front. Now a wonderful jewellery box to be enjoyed for every day use.

Its just superb!!!!

Box retains the original lock, top catch and hinges. Supplied with a silk tassel and Victorian key that FULLY LOCKS the box and also double locks.Instruction given once sold.

Comprising a wonderful interior that has been relined in expensive velvet material of the highest quality.

Beneath the base of the box has also been lined in the same velvet to stop any scratches to other surfaces.
