TEXAS 12 POUNDER CANNONBALL, DANCE BROTHERS, ANDERSON TEXAS 1864/65

This very rare & historic Texas Artillery solid shot 12 pound cannonball is from the Dance Brothers Foundry/Pistol Factory in Anderson Texas & dates to 1864 or 1865.

It is in good condition with light pits & has a dark brownpatina.

It was in the United Confederate Museum in Brownsville Texas from the late 1890’s to 1929 when the museum closed down.

It comes with a family letter from the grandson of the last curator of the museum who inherited the museums collection.
